Hari ini (Jumat, 9 April 2010) Tentara Nasional Indonesia Angkatan Udara (TNI AU) genap berusia 64 tahun. Sebuah perjalanan panjang dari Pengawal Kedaulatan Negara di Udara ini dalam mewujudkan Visi dan Misi-nya demi Indonesia. Sebagai salah satu dari sekian puluhribu personel Angkatan Udara, saiya turut bangga dan berbahagia, karena sampai detik ini – organisasi ini masih tetap solid dan kokoh berdiri di negeri yang kita cintai ini.
Bahwa untuk menjaga kedaulatan negara di udara itu bukanlah perkara yang mudah, mengingat begitu luasnya wilayah Republik ini yang terbentang dari Sabang sampai Merauke, dari Pulau Miangas hingga Pulau Rote — ini kita sadari bersama. Namun tidak ada alasan bagi semua insan Angkatan Udara untuk tidak berusaha dengan sekuat daya dan upaya mewujudkan agar kedaulatan Negara Indonesia di udara tetap terjaga setiap saat – sepanjang waktu.
Adalah tugas dari seluruh rakyat negeri ini agar TNI AU tetap solid dan kokoh berdiri. Keterbatasan bukanlah penghalang. Keterbatasan itu sesungguhnya sebuah kondisi yang membuat semua orang menjadi pekerja keras yang pantang menyerah. Tak henti memperbaiki diri dan memberikan yang terbaik adalah kunci untuk mengikis dan menyiasati keterbatasan yang ada.
